PROGRAM PLANNING GUIDE -- 2016-2017

Dear Student:

This Program Planning Guide (known as the "PPG") is designed to help you plan your program, select courses and register for this year. Your immediate goal is to register for the courses you need to keep on track toward graduation. The PPG will help you do this.

You are the one in charge of your academic program. Therefore, I encourage you to think about your educational goals at Concordia, initiate contacts with your adviser, and make full use of the other services the college offers (the Writing Center, the Career Development Center, the Registrar, etc.).

Your first step is to prepare by thinking about the Program of Study you are interested in and which courses you would like or will need to take this year. As part of that preparation, review your Program of Study as described in the Catalog, update your Program Planner (available in the Registrar’s Office) using your Banner Self-Service Account, and read through this PPG.

Your second step is to meet with your First-Year or Academic Adviser. You can do this during the Registration or Orientation period, as well as throughout the semester. See the Registration or Orientation Schedule for details.

Concordia desires to see you succeed in your program of studies. I and the rest of the faculty are ready to assist you. So, be sure to keep your appointment with your Adviser and check in with them during the semester as needed.

Thank you for taking the initiative, and God's best to you in your academic endeavors at Concordia.

Sherry Fraser
